The Consultation
We
use this time to get to understand your unique situation and get a
sense of your personality and ideas, and of course
if you haven't been to Studio Flowers before, you'll get to see our
shop and get to know us.
The most productive meetings occur when you have some sense of what you are needing in flower arrangements. Reading this website is a great start! You'll get an overview of the process and start understanding the different wedding flowers, styles, and prices. Most brides have been pouring through magazines and websites. It helps the conversation to bring your collected magazine photos, downloaded pictures, and questions. We often hear "I like these flowers, but do they come in a different color?" or "Can you do this shaped bouquet in a different flower?" The more ideas, information and questions you can provide – the more specific advice we can offer.
Our consultations are free, so to insure the meeting is productive for everyone we ask that you come prepared with your information. We will need your dates, times, addresses & contact numbers. You'll need to have a head count for the wedding party (bridesmaids, ushers, parents, grand parents, etc. ) Your colors and themes should be established—from the bride and attendant dresses to the linen colors at the reception. Knowing the number guests you're inviting is good and even better is if you have an estimated table count at your reception.
Once most of your wedding themes have been established you're ready for the floral consultation. We schedule appointments Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday—we cannot do Friday or Saturday consultations because we are working with other brides in the creation of their weddings. Securing Your Date
We
recommend scheduling your initial consultation six months in
advance. We limit the number of weddings we book to ensure we can
fully service the events—so dates do get closed out.
We do wedding designs for any location around the Charlotte metro and surrounding communities. We try hard to go to any location to please our brides, however, extra distances sometimes require extra staff and/or vehicles and may incur extra costs. This will be discussed during the consultation.
After your consultation, we will present you with a written proposal of the entire event and a description of items to be designed and their pricing. After our general agreement on the wedding requirements, to secure your wedding date with Studio Flowers a deposit of 15% or a minimum of $200 (plus tax) of the estimated cost will be required. The deposit is non-refundable, but will be applied to the final total. The balance of your wedding total will be due 30 days before the wedding in the form of a check.

beautiful entrance to walk down the isle. They are in your videos
and mark the time of your life that say the day was special. They
set the final tone for your reception—the party of your life.
Consider you'll have pictures over your lifetime. Five or ten years
after your wedding, when you're looking at your pictures, you'll
want to say your flowers were perfect.
We purchase flowers from growers around the world—we use top quality flowers from consistent growers. We constantly strive to maintain a competitive price without compromising a quality product.
Bouquets and floral designs have several components that influence the price:
• Quantity and variety of flowers and foliage:
The more exotic, fragile or limited the availability – the higher the price. Selecting a more general category usually results in lower prices.
• The season in which the wedding will occur:
Some flowers aren't available all year long. Trying to get them out-of -season may be possible but will occur higher costs. The time of year is to be considered when selecting flowers. Not just because of price, but because of the appropriateness for the season. Holidays like Valentines, Mothers Day and Christmas also cause price spikes.
• Amount of expertise and time required creating the design:
Type of container, accessories, jewelry and ribbons used are to be considered. The more “high design” involved the more gorgeous the result but more elaborate compositions require more time and expertise to create than simpler designs.

consultation. There we can gather information and then prepare for
you a cost estimate. We do understand that often future brides have
no idea what wedding flower price ranges might be. For this reason
we have created guidelines with base prices in order to give an
initial sense of your floral budget needs. At the consultation we
will discuss what you're looking for, understand your budget and
make suggestions to get the maximum impact for your situation. We
will not quote prices for custom work beyond these guidelines
without a consultation to determine your exact needs—experience has
taught this can become more confusing than
helpful.
